disaster from hell. was rescued by an innovative mind. but not enough for me to feel anything but defeated. but mainly cranky. and now i got 4 roasty pears and nothing to do with them. so if you know of anything into which roasted pears could go, please contact my team at pears-r-us. thanking you in advance for your contributions. p.s. heres a closer look, because i cant hide behind photoshop for the rest of my life. i will own my failings. and sometimes, they me.

An “interesting” combination….. Have you used the additional roasted pears yet?
thank you smoo for your interest and concern – i did in fact use the roasted pears last night in a muffin. i had too bad a day and too many pretensions to post it because i thought ‘its just a muffin’. but i realise now that is a shameful attitude. i will do a muffin post shortly – because i have a new technique that i think may or may not blow your hair back. it will also render the use of a creaming fork redundant.
WHAT???? No creaming fork required??? I don’t know how either I or my very special fork that is only provided to very special chefs will feel about that. But bring it on. Do not worry if I appear to ignore your posts for a while – I’m not sure how easy it will be to access the internet in Svanetia. But I feel sure they will still use creaming forks.
dear fatb-ers (esp. smoo), caramelised garlic tarts require no creaming forks and schleps whipped up a mean this very day. i can only hope and pray that she posts it, or something very like, in the near future.
dear schleps, you are a fine baker and the most undeserving and unfortunate recipient of torrents (not bit ones, but rage-filled ones.) your every little step is magic and i foresee a fine new glass-ed bow(e)l in your future.
